Aboriginal Community Transport Program
Transport is a key factor in developing the economics of Aboriginal Communities. Mobility linkages allow people to seek and hold jobs, attend education and training, access Health Care and essential services and fully participate in community life.

Provides affordable and reliable transport services to community groups and individuals
from the Lismore, Kyogle, Woodenbong/ Muli Muli, Casino, Coraki/ Box Ridge, Bonalbo, Tabulam and Nimbin in Northern NSW Australia.
Who can use this service?
Transport is available to people who cannot use public transport, or do not have access to private transport provided by relatives or friends. Priority is given to assisting orginisations that provide services to members of the HACC target group. Those in Isolated areas will also be looked at as a priority.
First priority is given to the members of the Home and Community Care Program (HACC) target group: older people and people with disabilities, and their carers, who live independently in the community.
Services Available
Individual and Medical Transport
- Provides a door to door service in all areas
- Includes funerals and community events
- Bonalbo to Lismore/Casino services run every second Thursday.
- Elders Group outing
Tabulam Bus
- Tabulam Health bus to Lismore/Casino services run each Thusday
- Tabulam Access bus to Lismore/Casino run 2 days a week
- Provides a weekly access run to Lismore/Kyogle.
- Community events such as sporting, youth and elders outings.
- Provides a Thursday weekly access run to Lismore

Contact your area office in advance, the earlier the better so we have time to organise buses, times and drivers. The Head Office is open
8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Balund-a Program Visitation Transport
Balund-a Program Visitation Transport for Family/FriendsA new transport service is being provided by Northern Rivers Community Transport. It will now be easier for friends and family from Lismore, Coraki and Casino to visit residents at Balund-a facility.

First Saturday of each month
Times and pickups
Lismore – Ngulingah Local Aboriginal Land Council, 7.15am
Coraki –Top Shop and Box Ridge Health Post, 8am-8.15am
Casino –Aboriginal Medical Service, 9am
Cost
$20 per adult (over 18 years of age).

All visitors need to book their visits with Balund-a Program on 6660 8619.
Proof of id will be required on entry to facility.
