Community Transport Information

Community Transport Services are non-profit community organizations that provide a range of transport services for elderly, people with disabilities and carers who have difficulty using public transport. A major source of funding for Northern Rivers Community Transport is the Home and Community Care Program (HACC) a jointly funded State and Commonwealth initiative under the Department of Aging, Disability & Home Care (DADHC). The organisation also receives funding from several other sources including the Ministry of Transport and the Dept. of Health. Northern Rivers Community Transport provides people with personalised and flexible transport options. We rely on a dedicated and caring team of volunteers as well as paid bus drivers. Clients are asked to pay a contribution. Our buses are wheelchair accessible.
